This fall, Vancouver audiences are in for an early holiday treat. YHF Theatre is partnering with Hong Kong’s acclaimed Jumbo Kids Theatre to bring the enchanting children’s musical A Fantastic Christmas Journey to life. The production will take place on September 20 and 21, 2025, at the Norman & Annette Rothstein Theatre. The musical is co-directed by Even Lam and Ray Kwok, with renowned local musician Raymond Sham leading a live band performance.

Set on Christmas Eve, A Fantastic Christmas Journey follows a class of students from the Jumbo Kids Primary School - Class 3D as they visit a senior home. Ah-Lui meets a kind old man who gives her a mysterious gift, starting an unforgettable adventure. The show is full of music, colorful sets, and a message about kindness, family, and holiday spirit.

This special collaboration highlights the creative synergy between two dynamic theatre groups. While Jumbo Kids Theatre is dedicated to producing engaging, family-friendly children’s theatre, YHF Theatre focuses on engaging the local community and youth in theatre and performance arts. Together, they aim to bring laughter, wonder, and heartfelt moments to Vancouver’s multicultural and family-oriented audiences, particularly within the local Chinese community.  Recommended for children aged 3 and up and their families.
